Flora Tsapovsky
Lucious parks, yummy snacks, landmarks and pure beauty - if you're lucky and San Francisco weather smiles upon you, don't hesitate - go outside!
Crissy Field
Wonderful Crissy Field park is situated in a dream-like location, overlooking Golden Gate bridge and providing the outdoors lovers acres of green, lush grass. The highlight of late is of course are MOMA-installed Di Suvero sculptures, an array of colourful iron figures. Bring a kite or a picnic, watch the local play with their dogs and try to spot Alcatraz beyond the fog.
Black Point Cafe
Great views, fresh-baked pastries, fresh-ground coffee, sophisticated drinks like the trendy lavender latte and hot chocolate - what more can you ask for? The Black Point is great for sitting outdoors and soaking up the rare San Francisco sun, gazing at the bay. The breakfast items - eggs Benedict, grilled cheese and salads, are also worth your time.
Fishermen's Wharf
Ignore the restaurants and the clam chowder (here's better and less pricey options in town) and head straight to the seals - this historic landmark gets way less touristy when you're standing next to some shiny, chubby real-life seals. Take a picture, try not to feed them, and feel like a kid again.
Rincon Park
How cute and photogenic is Cupid's Span, the biggest bow and arrow sculpture you'd probably ever see? Too cute. Rincon park, who hosts it, has a lot to offer besides the kitch - a beautiful boardwalk with views of the ferry building, patches of flowers and views of the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island. It's picture time!
Coit Tower
The cleaned up and renovated tower is a must-see for an outside walk and a 360-degree view of the city. Spend the 7$ on the elevator and take it all in - if it's not too cloudy. Don't overlook the amazing murals - they date back to the depression era. Do yourself a favor and finish with a walk around the tower - lucrative Marina Cow Hollow building never looked better.
Coqueta
A favorite among local foodies, Coqueta has it all - views, little plates exploding with flavor, inventive cocktails and cool atmosphere - just perfect for ending a night. Order the potatos bravas. continue with the crispy shrimps, and share a paella (or eat it yourself) - the view, in this case, is only a bonus.
The Slanted Door
They say the food here has gone downhill, but this legendary San Fran institution is still great for a visit - having a cocktail, such as the Singapore Sling, is a good compromise of hype and value. The clientele is a mixture of tourists and swanky locals, and the lights installation on the busy bridge is simply breathtaking when accompanied by some alcohol.
