If you want to see a proper American Halloween craze don't miss The Village Halloween Parade. It's the biggest Halloween parade in The US, which attracts about two million people from all other the country and all over the world. If you are not frightened by thousands of participants in costumes, who dance, prank and perform along with their famous gigantic Halloween puppets, at least you would be frightened by the scale of this event.
The parade starts at Spring Street and Sixth Avenue and is heading south via Sixth Avenue, it's a night time event, so officially it begins at 7 p.m. October 31st.
