Wiltons is the world’s oldest surviving grand music hall, this building is truly beautiful and you can feel the history as you tread the floorboards. It started life as an ale house in 1743 and due to its popularity in combination with the high calibre of clientele, a large music hall was added onto the premises in 1839. The mahogany bar from which the bar gets its name has sadly gone, however the atmosphere of old still remains. The bar serves a great variety of ales, beers, wines and spirits and is a lovely place for a drink and a chat. There are many live performances from 7:30pm in the historic hall itself so it is worth visiting their website and seeing if there is anything that takes your fancy.
