If you fancy doing something extremely out of the ordinary then why not visit the Vertical Chill Ice Wall and spend an hour ice steeping? The wall is 8m high and the temperature in the room is -5 degrees to -7 degrees. The rate of steepness varies from a gentle slope to a dramatic overhang, which means that it can cater for beginners as well as experienced climbers. If you have never done any ice climbing before then you can hire a tutor for a one-on-one hour to teach you on the wall, or if you have a little knowledge of it then you can just hire the equipment and be supervised from below. This is a really challenging and unique activity so make sure that you give the centre a call or an email beforehand to book your place and check over all the details.
