Saint Paul's Cathedral was originally built in 604 AD and has been part of the fabric of London from then onwards. The iconic building that we see today was designed by the famous architect Sir Christopher Wren after the previous site had been destroyed in the Great Fire of London. It is a magnificent building that offers many different experiences for a visitor, if you are religious then you could attend a mass there as it is still very much a working church. If you are interested in history then the architecture and cultural significance of the building can be learned about on one of the tours. If you are an art enthusiast or a bit of a romantic, then the Whispering Gallery is where you need to head, as it really is rather unique and holds an acoustic phenomenon that truly delights.
