Behind the Royal Festival Hall every weekend one can enjoy a small, but very interesting market featuring organic produce, the Real Food Market. They have rich coffee, pastries and other delights. The best time to visit are the winter months, when you can get mulled wine, grog and other warming drinks. A Christmas fair, which happens right on the river bank also deserves recognition. In summertime, pop up cafes and bars open up throughout the block and on the roofs of the buildings, where you can rest away from the crowded waterfront banks.
