Queen’s Head

London, Great Britain

Olga Steb

Queen’s Head is an old (opened more than 170 years ago) traditional pub with authentic feel to it that can be seen only in Chelsea. The locals gather here from all over the neighbourhood to drink and play classical pub games such as Scrabble. Depending on the day of the week they hold the usual pub events, like karaoke or lottery. There are no tourists, because the pub is well-hidden. It is also popular among gay community, which is made obvious by the rainbow banner over the door. The inner space is divided by a bar counter into two areas – the one for gays and another for the rest.
