Take the central line right out to Grange Hill (about 30mins from Liverpool Street) and then walk down the road to the incredible Hainault forest country park. This huge forest is a natural beauty that has nature trails, a boating lake, and a petting farm. Work up an appetite by exploring it on foot and then make your way over to Manor Road where you will find the Miller & Carter hidden in amongst the fields. The beer garden is lovely, but at this time of year you want to venture inside and find a nice quiet corner in which to relax in the comfortable seating, sip on a warming spirit and order one of their British steaks.
