The London Zoo, located in the eastern part of Regents Park, first opened in 1828 and is the oldest in world. The fee to get in is not cheap, around £20 per person, and its best to book tickets online, because at the entrance they cost more. Nevertheless, the history of the place and great variety of animal species make the visit worth it. Here you can observe tigers on close proximity (they live behind a transparent fence), as well as giraffes, hyppos, gorillas and other wildlife. The zoo often has a "Meet the ..." activities, when the visitors can feed penguins or kangaroo, for instance. This costs more money, so check the prices beforehand.
