Little Venice

London, Great Britain

Olga Steb

There are many stories that explain how Little Venice got its name. One of them states that the title was invented by a poet Robert Browning (there is a swimming pool that bears his name there). The other refers to lord Byron. One way or another, a walk along the canals is an extremely pleasant ting to do, in the sun or in the rain. A lot of Londoners keep their boats here, many live in them as well. Each one is different from another, and they are amazing look at. There is a boat that rides the canal, and it can take you from the Zoo all the way to Camden. But much more fun is to walk this distance. You can halt your walk any time you want, but those who make it to Camden will see London from a whole new perspective. The secret is to stick to the canal as close as possible.
