There are some brilliant ice rinks that pop up in London in winter and the one in Canary Wharf is no exception. To skate around with an unusual background of huge glass towers provides a bizarre element of drama, plus the rink itself has an iced path that lets skaters glide off from the main rink and dash about beneath a twinkling tree canopy and around Ron Arad’s sculpture ‘Big Blue’. Q on Ice is on site serving cocktails, hot chocolate, craft beer and an array of BBQ food, which can all be enjoyed on the outdoor viewing terrace.
