This tiny gallery looks like a designer shop from the outside. At the entrance there actually is one, selling all kinds of arts and design sundries, while the gallery itself displays modern artists who made it to Deptford from all corners of the world. The Bearspace is always busy: usually shows last for a month and are interspersed with visits to numerous modern art fairs. The gallery states that its main spheres of interest are conceptual and narrative art, but lots of funny prints, ornate sculptures and bright collages are also present, and are usually rather small, just like the gallery itself. Affordable prices are another great advantage of the venue.
