Marie Laveau

Stockholm, Sweden

Anna Sokol

If you're looking for a place popular among Swedes but very welcoming to travellers, it is a place for you. Marie Laveau is not so posh as Berns with its list of guests, neither it is some faceless club with slurred music and frenzied audience. Graffitied walls, crowded bar, young audience mainly from Södermalm – it all creates one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
Dress-code is not so strict, but you'll have to show your ID before you enter. We came here after 23:00, so the entrance was free of charge, though we paid about 40 NOK in the walk-in wardrobe. The crowd grew bigger after the concert.
By the way, don't worry about your return journey: Stockholm metro works all night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
