Classic café in Lavapiés area. It would hardly attract your attention from outside, its interior is really nothing special, but this is what charms you about this place. Cheap, noisy and nice! For many years an old family couple is managing this café. They are the waiters, the cooks, and the barmen. It is amazing! Despite dozens of shouting people ordering food and drinks from different sides of the bar, they perfectly remember who ordered what and when, even not writing all that down. They will never forget to bring the order and to take the money for it. The size of the portions is more than large and their special dish Zapatilla (what in English means “shoe”)… No, I’d rather say no more. Try it yourselves!
