This new landmark on the Barcelona skyline emerged in 2005: an oval -shaped skyscraper designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel has incited lots of fuss. Some love it, some hate but no one is indifferent. Its construction has drastically changed the area – the majority of former factories became new public spaces. Inside it's nothing interesting – the tower is taken by the headquarters of Aigues de Barcelona water company. So enjoy the exterior, especially at night when all 4,000 lamps are on creating the pixelated color effect of a sparkling rainbow.
