Placa de Sant Miguel and Placa Sant Jaume

Barcelona, Spain

Ksu Zavyalova

Placa Sant Miguel can be described as a courtyard that leads to Placa Sant Jaume. Its only object of interest is a metal sculpture in the form of a gigantic wire. This is how the artist depicted Las Castells festival, when teams compete in building human towers.
Placa Sant Jaume on a normal day is quite a noisy place, usually with some sort of protesters, because on the opposite sides of the square, there are the City Hall and the Catalan Government buildings. And if you come here during a holiday, you will find markets, concerts, festivals or interesting installations.
