Personally I find it to be the place where you can feel the young spirit of Barcelona. Strolling along the park paths you can see Barcelonians as they are taking in the sun, peacefully napping and resting with kids; young artists passionately discussing today’s news; rope-walkers, fire-eaters. The park’s territory is flat and very suitable for walks and picnics. Yes, you've got it right, it is allowed to sit on the grass here. The only important downside of this place is a great number of pickpockets who steal right under your nose. Beware!
