Montjuïc Botanical Garden

Barcelona, Spain

Rona Suari

It feels so nice to walk to the botanical garden down the picturesque rural road: you see frogs, little grey lizards, and it smells like dust and wild flowers. The garden was planted on the territory of the ancient quarries, its foundation was dedicated to the world’s fair. It is divided into 2 sections, the main one and the historical one. In the main part you will find Mediterranean plants, and the plants brought from Australia, America, South Africa and Chile. The historical part of the garden is just behind The National Palace, you can get there through a tunnel. The temperature here is several degrees lower, which is why the collection of rare plants is wider.
