Base Elements gallery is known for its collection of street art. For example, they have shown works of Pez, who painted his smiling fish all over Barcelona, and Francisco de Pajara, whose funny stickmen labelled "El arte es una basura" (Art is garbage) can also be seen here and there around town. The ground floor hosts a small studio where artists give workshops and share their experience. The owner's main goal was not simply to open yet another street art gallery, but create a space where such art could be best understood and evaluated.
