Edda craft cafe
Kofedel and Foodcrafter launched a place of their own inspired by Scandinavian motives. Their craft cafe is located on the Vasilyevsky Island and started with the beer - what else a true viking needs? As for the food their method is not ravaging a village to get it but to offer the best lunches in the area with cream soups, pasta and burgers. They also plan salads and beer snacks on the menu as well as yummy smoked venison right from the North. The place boasts have huge Soviet-time loudspeakers and amplifier to play some great music. The interior is all wood as wood is the best, the owners believe. And the atmosphere is very home like - you are welcome to take your drakkar Viking longboat and sail to Makarova embankment.
Park of the 300th Anniversary of St.Petersburg
Located right on the Gulf of Finland banks, the park boasts shady paths, a spacious beach big enough to chill out or to play volley, kids sports playground, extreme zone and lanes for rollers and bikers all across the park. It will also have an aqua park soon. Here such festivities as the City Day, the Kids Day or the VE-day are held as well as social activities like anti-drug youth events. The park has free wi-fi all over the place, time is limited but the connection speed is 1 МB/sec.
Admiralty Wharves
This is one of the oldest shipbuilding facilities in Russia and St Pete's first industrial facility. It is part of the OJSC United Shipbuilding Corporation.
Laskovy Beach
The beach is arranged with love and care: a huge parking lot for several hundreds of vehicles, nice changing cabins (though they still are a far cry from those in the stores) and garbage bins, not everywhere but at least in convenient locations. What you will love is a spacious concrete promenade along the beach among pines and dunes. It is the venue of volley contests so beware if you an amateur – here, like in billiards, it's too early to relax if you are allowed to win a couple of games... If you are hungry, there is quite a decent place Atlantis nearby and if you have something fancy to change into after swimming drive to Chaliapin or Ryba na Dache on your way back (note that you will have to make two U -turns if you want to go to the latter).
Bazin Bar
The founders of Warszawa bar in Kazanskaya Street Ilya Revidt and Mikhail Overbuh have a new place at Nekrasova, 22, next to Khroniki and Redrum, — a bar called Bazin. The owners say their idea was the darkest bar in town with music blasting out loud — psychedelic, punk rock or indie.
Fixed Lab
This creative workshop is for making and repairing Fixed Gear bikes (those who have a drivetrain with no freewheel mechanism). Such vehicles are super popular in Europe with thousands of new members joining every day.
People go for it as it's not just smooth and efficient in urban environment but as riding such a bike offers a certain lifestyle and a mindset which is minimalism and easiness that is so appealing to city dwellers.
