Yana
Practically every girl in Russia has read and deeply felt poems by Anna Akhmatova. She was a poet of love both romantic and tragic, and she lived in St Petersburg for a long time.
The museum was founded in 1989, and its collection has been growing ever since. Now visitors can see books with her authographs, original photographs of the poet, manuscripts and her personal belongings.
Tours are meant mainly for schoolchildren, which doesn't make them less interesting: sometimes you need to revisit the lines you know by heart since childhood to see novelty in them.
If such tours seem too tedious for you, you can always rest in local park, one of the most secluded places in the city. There you will get a chance to meet everyone's favourite cat Kesha – noone leaves this place without taking photo of him.
