This vast complex was created in the 1930s to honor Soviet achievements in industry, technology and agriculture but collapsed with the USSR in the 1990s. In 2011, the new management renovated it and adopted a new plan for further development. Today it's becoming an important highlight again and attracts more and more crowds. This year's winter program is to bring lots of people in – apart from the experience itself you can visit the world's largest skating rink (53,000 square meters) all sparkling and glittering and boasting video panels in ice (come early – lines are huge but the visit is worth it), the giant slide facing Pavilion 66 Culture (120 meters long and 9 meters high), husky center to ride and learn how to steer the sledge, and two Christmas fairs – one in Industry Square (no need to say it's big) and the second one coming soon on the Central Alley.
