Stanislavsky Drama Theatre

Moscow, Russia

Ksenia Kandalintseva

Back in 1900, it used to be Ars’ movie theater and boarding house and in 1915-16 architect Zabolotsky made it more theater-like – constructed a big arched niche with theater masks above – the symbols of art. When in 1939 Gorky Street (today's Tverskaya) was being renovated the house survived but was moved deeper inside the neighborhood. Today it houses the Drama Theater, French bakery Paul and a Pandora boutique.
