2011 was the lucky year for the park – it was renovated under a special Moscow government program and now has great infrastructure focusing on sports – cycling, running, rock- climbing and other fascinating stuff. It's super popular among families with kids, some even cross the entire city to spend time in Sokolniki. In winter, all the fun centers around snow – they open Snegohod-Ville area with snowmobiles, jet snowboards and winter bikes – it's really worth trying even if you live far away from the park. Another highlight is the Gorka slide with a lift (saves you power for more rides). They also have smaller kids versions but they are opened only if it is snowing. And don't forget about the rinks – Gigant with natural ice and Led with artificial one. Kids are welcome from mid January – in pavillion 3 there will be the famous Circus of Big Animals show featuring a trio of giant elephants.
