The Pushkinskaya embankment, equipped with a wooden beach, was popular as early as the 1930s when there was a swimming and rowing school, with diving towers and regular competitions. Of course, noone swims there now, but the beach is now occupied by dancing clubs. Every day there are classes in ballroom dancing, zumba, salsa, tango, rock'n'roll, and even Irish dances. In summer there is a cafe under the same name with olive trees in pots, snow-white lounge chairs and lounge music.
