To the right of the main entrance to Gorky Park you will find this red brick astronomy pavilion – the first people's observatory opened here in 1929 but the for last two decades it was under restoration. In 2012, it welcomed visitors again with a new powerful telescope and an automatic sliding dome. It works daily in spring and summer. Entrance fee is 50 roubles.
