Ramen is number one try to feel the Japanese spirit – Shibyua has lots of nice places but this one is the pioneer – it opened in 1952 and serves an unusual ramen – udon with something like gyoza. But the odder the yummier.My ramen tip is look for dirty places – if you see sticky greasy floor and cooks in wellingtons and wet aprons - go inside.
