If you take the promenade southwards, before Jaffa you'll see a small green park packed with people on days off. Arabs have BBQ, Jews – kosher picnics, youngsters play with kites and kids build sandcastles. You can sit on a bench, check the Etzel Military museum, have lunch at Manta Ray and walk on to the Old City.
