Villa Bagatelle

Budapest, Hungary

Anastasia Chukovskaya

Ágnes and her husband, Albrecht Wirtz sold their business in Germany and moved to Budapest. When the couple bought an old 1929 villa here previously owned by a pharmacist, they became centre of attention. The villa was carefully renovated and a bakery, bistro and designer shop were opened. The pleasant thing is that you can have breakfast here all day long. On the menu you will find fresh pastry, wiener sausages, open pies, home-made yoghurts, smoked fish, soft- or hard-boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, omelette, fried eggs and etc. The bakery offers fragrant pastry with a whole section of gluten-free cakes as well as products for German food fans.
