Trodelmarkt

Berlin, Germany

Tanya Stella

A small market in an unusual place, Trodelmarkt occupies a spot surrounded by industrial ruins. John Kennedy made his famous speech "Ich bin ein Berliner" opposite the place at the Rathaus Schöneberg in 1963. Today the place is noisy, all sorts of kits and bits are sold, while people drink beer. I recommend you to drop in at the Austrian café at the end of the market to taste the best strudels in the city.
Trodel Markt is open on weekends from 8 a.m. to 17 p.m.
