The Plattoon Kunsthalle is a quite interesting construction, both as a building but also as an art space. In an empty space between two buildings on Schönhauser Allee it’s made of a stack of shipping containers as if it was a giant game of Legos. Inside it hosts a café during the day, a bar at night with Thursday being the most popular night. In the back there is a big hall that is used for exhibitions and events of all kinds and in the containers that make the outer shell there are studios for artist residencies. Check their website for the program or just drop by for a coffee.
