A visit at the Hoppegarten horse race course (that is starting their season in Spring) is as nostalgic as it gets: a glamorous picnic in the park, pretty ladies wearing fancy hats, dandy gentlemen, horse-shaped balloons for the kids (you will want one too). It is a really picturesque setting. And the actual horse race is only one of many attractions there. They have lots of booths with drinks, snacks and food. Some fun things for the kids and of course the betting offices for the race. Even a sight of the beautiful horses will make the trip worth your while.
