Vysehgrad – is not only a park, it is the place of strength of all Czech nation. Numerous legends claim that the Czech nation started there, and that during matriarchy times princess Libuse reigned from there. Magnificent castle can be seen from all points of the town; it seems to oppose the current residence of the governors – Prague castle. The castle is surrounded by green territory, very comfortable for walking, and the mystical atmosphere of the park is complemented by the cemetery, where many famous Czech writers, artists and other intellectuals are buried.
