What started as an online arts hub, has catapulted into a brick and mortar arts space focusing on the freshest voices and most pertinent messages Brazilian artists have today. The nucleus of Urban Arts was a creative agency called Digital Urban Summer which was started by André Diniz. From the popularity and network of Digital Urban Summer grew the digital Urban Arts space. And it wasn’t long before the enterprising founder opened the first physical Urban Arts in São Paulo in 2011. People love this space. And now there are 12 Urban Arts venues around the country. Over 3,000 artists - usually those that work in new mediums like in the digital, illustration, and design arena- have presented their work at Urban Arts. It is an exciting place to visit Brazil’s most current, popular, and street art.
