This Mayakovskaya venue boasts two quite spacious halls and a huge selection of bottled and draught beer. The interior is typical: long tables, rough benches, white tiles on the walls. The selection is similar to Beermarket as they have the same owners but this place also offers appetizers – burgers, hot dogs with a great choice of sausages, chili cheese fries and even desserts.

Pivbar

The Petrovka store of the iconic UK brand differs from Tsvetnoy corner that offers classical polo shirts, parkas and bags. The boutique is more posh. Amid carpets and leather coaches one will find the Laurel Wreath line, knit pastel polos, relaunched vintage and beautiful sweaters. They also have albums on English style – go through them while your friend is trying something on.

Fred Perry

At first this tiny place had no permanent location and was just a food market regular. Now it has its residence – one in Pravda Street industrial area and another in a booth at the Bauman Garden. Their trademark is in their name – hummus served in warm pita with fresh greens. They also have falafel pita, French fries with marinades and chicken and their signature Jerusalem mix. Don’t forget to taste their Club Mate lemonades.

The Hummus

This place was the hottest venue in spring 2015, or how the team put it - instagrammers' darling. It is all due to the interior -a two-storey building blends white picket fence farmyard, vintage doors, and extravagant knick knacks that seem an absolute mismatch but give the place a charm. The neon-lit salad bar and old school scales are worth a hundred likes – by the way you can mix your own stuff for an affordable price (vegetarians, take a note). They also offer various smoothies, and summer tea cocktails so nice and inviting that this could be their only specialty. By the way, the food is awesome - they serve everything from bortsch to dumplings and classic Napoleon cake dessert (theirs is so filling). However, their favorites are pastas and pizzas, some say they are the best in town. They also have breakfasts and grab-and-go.

Babetta

Ecomarket team opened their Gorod-Sad place in the Patriach Ponds area – it’s half a store, half a cafe plus a deli. They offer veggies, fruits, cottage cheese, milk and farmer's meat, and prices are really high as it’s all organic. They also use the same food for their simple but inspiring meals, like lamb roulade, quinoa tabbouleh or beetroot guacahummus. Vegetarians and vegans are welcome: veggie burgers, banana cakes, no bake raw cakes and gluten-free pastry are here for you, while their greens are smoothie perfect. The latter are served in stylish branded jars. Recently the owners have also introduced yummy and healthy breakfasts. Apart from selling green stuff and meat that is predictably expensive, they make gluten free and vegan pastry: banana cakes, carrot muffins and vegan ice cream( plenty of flavors – estragon, mint banana, cacao etc). The place is a real hotspot as you can make your own lunch of the ingredients on sale or have a smoothie from a stylish Gorod-Sad jar. Early birds are welcome for a delicious and healthy breakfast.

Gorod-Sad

This lovely place is all about healthy eating – you can find several of them in Moscow – Patriarch and Clean Ponds and Bolshaya Nikitskaya locations. What they mean by healthy are organic ingredients, some produced on the spot – they bake bread and pies, make berry drinks, lemonades and ice cream . Though the menu has almost no meat (their ideal combo is veggies and fish), the place is not vegetarian but offers plenty of such options). Cuisine is quite versatile: from Pan-Asian noodles and sushi to bruschettas and pizzas. Prices are not that affordable.
